Figures are rendered with linear contours, halos, and a compact, frontally arranged composition set against flat, cool greens and warm earth tones, with a restrained palette of red, blue, and ochre. The work exemplifies the early Sienese Gothic style of Duccio, emphasizing elegant drapery, gentle modeling, and decorative, largely planar space.
