Daniel Joseph Martinez is a Los Angeles–based visual artist and educator whose work explores individual and collective identity, as well as the tension between political activism and personal culpability, through a wide range of media that encompasses text, photography, painting, sculpture, video, performance, and even motorized animatronic self-portraits.
